Another Rumble (A Rumble in VA) Page 6

“I’mma king in my own way… I’m in the hood hollerin’ Sadatay… I’mma king in my own way… I’m in the hood hollerin’ Sadatay…”

The driver walked towards my truck, and when I saw who it was I put my gun back under the seat, and got out.

“Milkman, what it do baby!” He started laughing.

“Buku, I thought that was you, nigga. When you touch down, man?” We locked hands and bumped shoulders.

“Shit, ‘bout two months ago. I was trying to get at you when you was in the hospital, but Maine wasn’t letting nobody up there to see you. How you feeling, man?”

“You know a mothafucka’ gon’ have to come harder than that fuckin’ with me!” I leaned up against my truck. “You straight nigga?” I pulled out my money, peeled off a few hundred dollar bills, and then handed the money to Buku.

“Thanks, man. Sorry to hear ‘bout Kirk too, man. That was a good ass nigga,” he said, putting the money in his pocket.

“Yeah he was.” I shook my head. “Who is that on that track, Buku?”

“Park boys, nigga. That shit hot ain‘t it?” He nodded his head to the beat.

“What is that y’all saying, Saturday?”

“Naw man, Sa-da-tay! We taping a video for it next week.”

“I hear you man, do the damn thing.”

“Yeah man, I had to leave these streets alone. This last bid did it for me.”

  “I feel ya’.”

“Yo’ man, you ever hear from Gremlin?”

“Gremlin,” I frowned my face up. “Who the fuck is that?”

“The nigga you used to cell with in in the Burg.”

“The nigga I celled with name was Gee. You must got him mixed up with somebody else.”

“Naw man, that’s who I’m talkin’ ‘bout. Gee. Well shit, we all called him Gee until that Breon got there.”

  “Breon, who is that?”

“Some corny ass nigga from down south. He celled with Gremlin after you got out. Matter of fact, the nigga Breon got murked out in Park Place. Not too far from here from what I heard.”

“Shit, I know a lot of Breons, but yeah, I did holla’ at Gee, or Gremlin, whatever the fuck his name is a few times when he got out, but I ain’t heard from him in a minute.”

“Man, that mothafucka’ used to hang on your every word. Shit, he had me thinking he was down with the Feds or some shit.”

  “Why you say that, Buku?”

“Even after you got out that nigga was still talking ‘bout yo’ ass. You would have thought he was from VA too, the way he could tell a story.”

  “Is that right?”

  “Yeah, man,” he nodded.

“Gee was good people. Corny, but he was a’ight. Where you on yo’ way to, man?”

“Getting’ ready to take my ass in the house.”

“You better,” I started laughing. “Yo’ girl will damn sure come looking for you.”

“You know it. Her ass ain‘t changed a bit,” he said laughing too. “A’ight, Buku. Stay up, man.”

“Good to see you,” he said and we slapped hands again.

Once Buku got back in his car he cranked the music all the way up. I got back in my truck and followed him down to Fenchurch Street and then made a left onto Granby Street. I still wasn’t ready to go back to the house yet. I needed me a pain killer, and I ain’t talking about no medicine either. I need some pussy.

  No Bullshit!

I just got out of the shower and was on my way to into my bedroom when I heard somebody knocking at my door. I threw on an oversized t-shirt and walked out of my bedroom towards the front door.

“Who is it?” I looked through the peephole. The light was out in the hallway, so I couldn’t see who it was.

  “Pizza Hut,” they answered.

  “Who?” I looked again.

  “Dominos.”

I recognized the voice that time. I took the chain off, unlocked the top lock, and then opened the door.

“You must have lost your mind.”

  “What’s up?”

“What are you doing here, Milton?”

“Oh, you ain’t gon’ invite me in?”

“I don’t know, should I? When I told you not to come to my place of business unannounced, that went for my residency, too.” I took a step back so he could come in and then closed the door. Milk had lost some weight, but looking at him you would have never known he had been shot.

  “Did I wake you up?”

“What do you think?” He took off his jacket and laid it on the back of my couch.

“Do you mind if I sit down?’

“You done took your coat off. You might as well sit down, take your shoes off, and really get comfortable!” Milk started laughing.

“Why you always talking shit to me, Nicole?”

“Because I know you like it.”

“I heard you came to the hospital checking on a nigga. I just thought I would stop by and pay you a friendly visit.”

“At two in the morning, Milton? You should have called me first.”

“What I tell you about that Milton shit?” he said as he sat down on the couch.

“What I tell you?” I sat down next to him. “And what are you doing out this time of night and drinking at that?”

“Trying to find me a piece of mind.” Milk sat up, rested his elbows on his knees, and then put his face in his hands.

  “What’s wrong with you?”

“Everything,” he looked at me. “You got anything to drink?

  “Yeah, some water.”

“I don’t want no damn water.”

“You don’t need anything else to drink, Milton. I’m sure you’re on medication.” I got up to get Milk some water, but he pulled me back down onto his lap.

  “Where yo’ son at?”

“He’s in Florida, and please let me go.”

  “Don’t act like that, Nicole.”

“Act like what?” I stood up. “I’m not playing this game with you.”

“What game?” Milk stood up and pulled me to him.

“How did you know I came to the hospital to see you?”

“Nicole, that shit is nothing,” he said, simultaneously kissing me on the neck.

  “Milk, stop!” I yelled.

“A’ight, look,” he sat back down on the couch. “Come here, Nicole.” He took me by the hand. I sat down beside him. “Me and Sabrina not together anymore, but she did just have my baby. Yeah, we living under the same roof, but she is in one room and I’m in another.”

“You expect me to believe that shit?”

“Yeah, ‘cause it’s the truth and it’s only temporary.”

“Nothing is temporary when there is a child involved.”

  “This shit is.”

“I moved up to Virginia to get away from drama. You are not about to get me caught up in no bullshit between you and Sabrina.”

“Ain’t gon’ be no bullshit. I promise you.”

  “That’s what they all say.”

“I can’t tell you what they all say ‘cause I ain’t speaking for them. I’m talking about me. You know I’m feeling you, Nicole.”

Milk and I stared at each other for a minute before he leaned over and kissed me. I played the hard to get role long enough, and now it was time to secure his pockets.

“Milk, I don’t want to get hurt.” I stood up and then walked over to the window.

“Nicole, I’m not trying to hurt you,” he replied softly as he got up and stood behind me.

“How do I know you won’t?”

“You won’t know unless you give me a chance,” he said, putting his arms around my waist. “I enjoyed the time that I spent with you before all this shit happened to me, and I know you did, too.”

I looked over my shoulder, and Milk leaned down and kissed me. Then I turned around, put my arms around his neck, and kissed him back. I pulled away from him when I felt his hands between my legs, just to tease him so more.

  “I don’t
want to move too fast with you, Milton,” I whispered.

“Come here, he said in a low tone.

He raised my t-shirt up over my head and all my goodies were exposed. Milk kissed me from my collarbone down to my chest, and then he cupped my titties with both of his hands and softly licked each nipple one by one. I wasn’t ready to give him full control. I wanted to turn him out, not the other way around. I lifted his shirt over top of his head. His jeans fell around his ankles when I loosened his belt, and he stepped out of them. I led him back over to the couch, and before he sat down he took off his boxer shorts. I could see the bandages from his gunshot wound under the wife-beater he was wearing.

“You sure its not too soon for you to be doing this?” I put my hand over the bandages.

“Do you want to race me to the bed?” he asked while he moved my hand. “Don’t worry ‘bout that, I’m good.”

I put my hand on his chest so he would sit down on the couch. I looked down at Milk’s dick and it was hard, black, and big. Just the way I like it. I straddled myself over top of him and started to grind up against it. Milk pinched one of my nipples with his fingertips, and his other hand was now in between my legs. I looked down and watched as he flicked his index finger over my clit. I increased my hip speed and was now grinding up against his finger.

“Awww… that feels so good,” I whispered in his ear. I reached down and took Milk’s dick in my hands to lead it to the promise land.

I slowly worked it inside of me until my hips were lying flat against his thighs. I raised his face up to mine with both hands and then I kissed him passionately on the lips. “Damn, girl,” he moaned. Milk laid his head all the way back on the couch. I

used my knees for balance as I slowly rode his dick. Every time I rose up he pulled me back down to him. I decided to use Janea’s technique and clenched his dick with my pussy muscles. Milk spread my hips apart so he could go in deeper, and I was enjoying the ride.

“Fuck this dick, Nicole,” he pulled me down to him.

“You want me to do what?” I whispered. I heard what he said; I just wanted him to repeat it.

“Fuck this dick, girl.” I could tell by the way Milk gripped my shoulders that he was ready to cum, so I slowed down my pace. “Don’t slow down. I want you to cum on my dick right now,” he said, smacking my left butt cheek.

“What if I don’t want to cum yet?” I nibbled on his ear.

“If this gon’ be my pussy, I got to be able to control it.” Milk put his hands around my waist, picked me up, and laid me down on the couch on my back. My legs were spread wide open, and he was now on his knees. I closed my eyes and prepared myself to feel the touch of his tongue. Instead, Milk rammed his dick inside of me full throttle, and again I rose up. “What’s wrong, you can’t take this dick?”

“I can take anything you got!”

“Remember when I told you the only time you could call me Milton was when I was throwing this dick up in you,” he said while putting one of my legs on his shoulder. “Call me Milton, now!”

  “Milton…,” I purred.

“What?” He went in deeper and I felt my stomach muscles getting tight. “I ain’t hear you. What’s my name?”

  “Milton… ummm… Milton…,”

I don’t know if it was the liquor or if Milk had taken some Viagra before he came to my house, but we fucked until the sun came up. When he woke up Milk was ready to go another round. He told me to take the day off and he would give me the money for the work I missed. And true to his word, before he left he gave me a thousand dollars. Meager pennies, but I am patient. In time, the amounts will increase.

  Britney!

“Man, come on!” I hit my hand on my bed. “You gon’ have to stop all that mothafuckin’ crying Aaron.”

“I can’t take this shit anymore,” he whimpered. “I need to get the hell out of here.”

Aaron just came back from his second bond hearing, and like me, he was denied bail again. I think he is one step away from being put on suicide watch.

“Crying ain’t gon’ make the shit no better,” I told him. “Is this the first time you have ever been in jail, man?”

“Yes, and it fucking sucks,” he whined.

“People gon’ keep fuckin’ with you ‘cause they look at you like you are a Britney.”

“A what?” he looked at me.

“A Britney. That means a coward. That’s why they taking yo’ shit from you, because you appear to them as weak and you don’t do shit about it. What are you in here for, man?”

  “Robbery.”

“Bullshit,” I started laughing. “What the hell did you rob Aaron, a soda machine?”

  “The Bank of Hampton Roads.”

  “When?”

“About a month and a half ago.”

“Man, I saw that shit on the news. You did that shit?” I asked still laughing.

“Me and my brother James.” Aaron had calmed down some and was able to get a few words out.

“I know I just met you, but I can’t picture you robbing nobody, let alone a bank.”

“My girlfriend is getting ready to have a baby and I needed the money. Now I’m going to be in here when the baby is born, and I don’t know when I will get to see her,” he started crying again.

“Look Aaron, and don’t take this the wrong way. You have to find a way to block that shit out of your head, man. Thinking about what’s going on in the outside world will make time creep slowly for you. Right now you are in jail and there ain’t nothing you can do about it. The next mothafucka’ that tries to take something from you, you need to handle your business.”

I was talking to Aaron, but I was really speaking to myself because I could definitely feel his pain. I laid awake in bed at night thinking about Sabrina and the baby. I even had a dream about them. I bought a phone card and I tried calling Sabrina, but her number was disconnected. I just want to hear her voice. I want to tell her that I love her. I want to feel her body next to mine. Damn, I miss that girl.

  Every Tom, Dick, And Byrd!

Sabrina had a doctor’s appointment this morning for her six-week checkup, so Saysha is rolling with her daddy today. I have been in and out the house these last couple of days handling business, and I haven’t spent any time with my baby. I try to be civil with Sabrina on the strength of my Saysha, but most days that shit goes out of the window, like today. I told Sabrina before she left the house not to be out there spreading her legs for every Tom, Dick, and Byrd once the doctor gives her the green light that her pussy is back to normal, which lead to another round of us going back and forth. Nicole’s crib is my escape from all that right now. She don’t ask no questions so I don’t have to tell her no lies.

  Jealous Bitches!

“It’s open,” I yelled. When Juju walked inside the house I started laughing.

  “Where you at, bitch!”

“Juju, what the hell do you have on?” I looked down at him from the top of the stairs.

“Girl, this is a one of a kind,” he twirled around. “This is what all the queens are wearing now in Atlanta this season,” he said as he closed the front door. “I know that’s right,” he looked around, “you can’t hide money, honey.”

“Bring your ass up here,” I told him, and then I walked back to my room.

“Bitch, wait a minute before I get lost in this museum. You need a tour guide to walk around this mothafucka’.”

I was so glad when Juju called me and told me he was coming over. I needed some adult conversation, and with him I was always guaranteed a good laugh.

“Whatchu’ back here doing stashing money in your mattress?” He sat down on the bed next to me.

“Laundry. What are you doing back in Virginia?”

“Girl, I had to leave ATL. To many jealous bitches for me,” he crossed his legs as he stated in disgust.

“Everybody is a jealous bitch to you,” I started laughing again.

“Oh, no,” he put his hand up, “believe you m
e, there is a jealous bitch on every corner in Atlanta. I was done for when I was cheated out of that twenty grand for the Bonner Brother’s hair show. They just a bunch of jealous bitches!”

  “So, you’re here to stay?”

“Don’t you have a maid to do all of that?” He pointed to the basket after making a sour statement.

“I do my own damn laundry.”

“Bitch, look at you all domesticated and thangs’,” he gloated as he smiled at me. “But yes, I’m here to stay. And where is that beautiful chocolate man of yours,” he joked as he puckered up his lips.

“I don’t know where Milk is. I had a doctor’s appointment this morning so I left the baby here with him, and when I came home he was gone. I’m going to cuss his ass out when he gets back, too.”

  “I see.”

He stood up and walked over to the mirror on the wall.

“Don’t you think you have enough lip gloss on?”

“Oh, so yousa’ jealous bitch, too?” he pointed at me. “Don’t hate,” he rubbed his lips together and said. “I like to keep my lips moist.”

“Juju, you is too funny,” I shook my head as I laughed. “So have you found place a to live? I know you not going back to your momma and daddy’s house.”

“Bitch, I would go stay in a shelter first before I live with them people again. I actually took over Asia’s apartment. That’s what I came over here to talk to you about, love.”

“What, that you moved into Asia’s old apartment?” I am sure I looked as confused as I was.

“No, bitch,” Juju walked back over to the bed and started going through his purse. “This is what I came over to talk to you about,” he said as he handed me an envelope.

  “What is this?”

“I found these under the carpet in the bedroom closet.” Juju sat back down and then he crossed his legs. I opened the envelope and there where pictures inside.

  “Oh my God.”

“Oh my God is right, bitch! Who is that beautiful, caramel man in these pictures?” he batted his eyelashes. I looked at the pictures with Juju peeking over my shoulders. I guess this answered my question as to how Milk found out about Rico and me, and I am sure Asia could not wait to show these pictures to him too.
